Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• No accounts or contact details. The site has no sign-up, and no page asks for your name, email address, phone number or VIN.
• Searches stay in your browser. The search box matches what you type against a list of our pages inside your browser; your search isn't sent to us.
• Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the page that referred you, and keeps them in short-lived server logs used to run and secure the site.
• Usage data. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location. See section 4.

2. How we use it

• To deliver pages to you.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand overall traffic.
• To comply with law.

3. Who we share it with

• Service providers that run the site for us: Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (the database that holds our published vehicle data, which contains no information about visitors), Google Analytics (website analytics). See section 4. They may process data only to provide their service to us.
• Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of anyone.
• Business transfers. If Northwoods Ventures LLC is acquired or merges, information may transfer to the successor under this policy.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, so we can improve it. It uses first-party cookies and collects your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, how you arrived, and your approximate location. Google processes this data for us. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, so it isn't used to build advertising profiles, and we don't send Google anything you type. There are no advertising tags on the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; every page still works. If we add advertising (such as Google AdSense), we will update this policy first and describe it here.

5. Other websites

Our pages link to NHTSA, Wikimedia Commons and other sites. What happens on those sites is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short period, generally no more than 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate abuse or as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email support@usedscore.com and we will respond within 45 days. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut and Virginia, may exercise their rights under those laws the same way. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

Pages are served over HTTPS, and our database can only be reached with server-side credentials that are never sent to browsers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every breach.

9. Children

UsedScore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes and contact
